All of the qualities that Richardson touted as making him qualified to be president also clearly make him over qualified to be Secretary of State. He was ambassador to the UN. He negotiated for and got hostages from Saddam Hussein and Kim Jong Il. He is a proponent of sustainable energy which will repair the US's image of rejecting the Kyoto treaty and watering down G8 statements on climate change.
He also seems to get along very well with Barack, so I say he's perfect.
