There are many suggestions of good, qualified candidates for vice president and much more engagement than I recall in any previous race in this decision. To avoid some inevitable disappointments and clearly signal a new direction for America, I'd like to see Obama name a transition cabinet -- they wouldn't be confirmed as yet -- that could include some of the key players now mentioned for VP positions.
Clearly this raises challenges in vetting and creates more targets for attacks, but also can demonstrate a new openness and the 'team of rivals' concept that Barack has spoken of already.

VP choice

Dear Senator Obama, from a life long republican who voted for you in the Indiana primary and intends to vote for you in November. I really don't think I will be able to vote democratic if you decide to give the VP to Hillary.
You fought too hard for it, don't compromise the faith and confidence we have put in you now. She has NO intentions of being VP. She wants to be co-president. DON'T DO IT!!!!!
