The best way to fix the economy is to do exactly what Franklin Roosevelt did in the 1930s. Instead of handing out money like candy, the government needs to feed it into the middle class through public works projects. Doing this will modernize the nation's infrastructure and create millions of jobs. Here are some of the projects that the government should invest in.
Lay down new railroad tracks to create a new method for cross country travel and shipment of goods.
Build solar/wind/nuclear power plants in various parts of the country.
Rebuild crumbling bridges and highways
Plant trees in place of abandoned steel mills, coal mines, and other industrial sites that have since been closed down.
And tell the big 3 auto makers that if they want any federal funds, they will have to commit to manufacturing 100% of their cars in the United States before 2025.
