Whatever damage Hurricane Gustav does, Democrats should be there to help rebuild. Obama should make this a national service initiative and encourage all supporters to pitch in.

What I remember most vividly from Bill Clinton's first presidential campaign is his direct, honest and detailed speeches about his tax plan and his plans to create more jobs for the working class.
Read more »Take the word "Maverick" away from McCain. He has spent years coasting on his image as a maverick. He continues to use the word in his ads and it works for him. Whenever you mention that he has voted with Bush 90% of the time, add the phrase, "that's not a maverick."

What is he going to do in his first 100 days?
What is his administration going to do for families that are struggling?
What will he about healthcare, the housing crisis, and energy?

This article is great. We need to take her to task for what she said. It certainly says something about someone who will come out swinging without the facts. Maybe she should avoid the media a bit and study a little longer so she can get it right. The AP's story is great.

Read more »The subtext of all the biography-flogging at the RNC is the belief that John McCain should be given the presidency as a reward for all he's done in his life, as if the presidency should be a grateful nation's way of saying thanks. The fact is, McCain wants to be president because he thinks he has it coming to him. To him (and the GOP at large) it's a matter of entitlement.
