OBama (and Biden if possible) should visit EVERY state at least once before Election Day. This will help drive home the fact that the Democrats are competing in every state - the days of conceding the south to the GOP are over. A Democratic rally in Alaska would certainly generate quite a bit of buzz, as would one in Arizona (whose governor has supported Obama from the beginning).

Counter McCain's attempts in ohio!
Last election Ohio turned out to be an important state in the election. With McCain working on ohio, (and even Dayton, Where I am) I think it is going to be important for Obama to demonstrate to Ohions that he will be here for us too. Especially since a majority of his economic reform polices will effect the dieing city of Dayton and all the jobs being lost there.

You can turn on CNN, Fox, or NBC and find one of the anchors asking a McCain spokesman, "Why is Palin the best possible VP choice?"

The key to swinging Ohio is to effectively use Gov. Strickland in the southern part of the state, where he is from. Obama doesn't have to win the rural vote in southern Ohio but he needs to keep t close. Anything under 10 points and Obama wins the state.
