Military supports Obama

I read where the soldiers in Iraq have donated money to Obama 6 to 1 over McCain. They know the truth about the war. The campaign should let this statistic become very familiar to American voters here.

Don't Focus On Palin's Daughter's Pregnancy

Just focusing on Palin's 17 year old daughter's recent pregnancy is just going to be interpreted as avoiding the political issues and focusing on personal issues.

Portray the Palin pick as a reflection of McCain's judgement

Going after Palin has some serious backfire possibilities. Just present her as simply being unsuited for the job of President (should it come to pass) and stick McCain with the tag of using bad judgment to choose her.

Lead a Post-Convention Service Effort After Gustav

Whatever damage Hurricane Gustav does, Democrats should be there to help rebuild. Obama should make this a national service initiative and encourage all supporters to pitch in.

Not only is it the right thing to do but it would serve as a valuable contrast to the GOP Convention that would be going on simultaneously.

It's the economy!

I would like to see Obama concentrate on giving details about how he would improve the economy the day he takes office. What I remember most vividly from Bill Clinton's first presidential campaign is his direct, honest and detailed speeches about his tax plan and his plans to create more jobs for the working class.

Being a woman doesn't mean I'll vote for McCain/Palin

I really think that McCain thinks that I, as a woman, am ignorant of the facts. I think that his choice of vice president illustrates that fact in that he thinks that just because I am a woman, then I'll vote for the ticket with the woman. There is no other reason for him to have picked Palin since she has literally 2 years of federal government experience.

Don't Portray Palin as "More of the same"

There are plenty of reasons why Palin is a horrible candidate who reflects extremely poorly on McCain, but "more of the same" is simply not compelling because she is a woman from Alaska. While her positions may be conservative to a T, this has to be conveyed in a way besides the "more of the same" catch phrase.

Ad With McCain Stating Americans Won't Work for $50 an Hour

There is Youtube video of John McCain addressing union workers. In defense of having immigrant workers, he states that there are jobs Americans won't do, and he then offers anyone in the audience $50 an hour to pick lettuce, adding that none of them would do it. If Obama puts this sound or video clip in an ad, Americans will really see how out of touch he is. $50 an hour is $100,000 a year.
