McCain doesn't like rumor-spreaders... isn't that hypocritical?

During the 2000 Republican primaries, Bush launched a smear campaign against John McCain (saying that Cindy was a drug addict, he'd fathered a black child out of wedlock, etc) McCain said of these rumor spreaders, "I believe that there is a special place in hell for people like those."

Yes! It is about laying the blame!

On the issue of the economy, Obama has to say it out loud and proud. Yes, it IS about laying the blame. When you vote 90% in favor of Bush economic proposals, you take the blame. Republicans have to take reponsibility for the presnt situation. Democrats have to lay blame.

Stop being vague, or McCain will win on dangerous specifics

Obama, the economy is supposed to be your strong-suit and yet your speeches lack any detail on the repercussions of this bailout. I know you don't want to be seen as impeding recovery, but the Bush administration is simply trying to scare Congress into making another rash action, as it did with Iraq. Understand that:

Adopt This Advertisements on Battle Ground States!

Using his own words against him. Voted for Bush, twice. Thinks lobbyists are "good people". I do not know who created this, but it is really, really good.

Michigan: Compare Bush/McCain to Matt Millen

This is admittedly a bit out there, but Obama has had trouble reaching the blue coller voters, and Michigan is up for grabs. If there's one thing any Michigander knows, it's the storied, stunning ineptitude of the Detroit Lions football franchise, and the inexplicable bullishness of president Matt Millen.

Check out this compelling Independent Ad illustrating McCain Bush Link

Like to see more ads like this and have them play during ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX news shows in Swing States. Only change is the McCain line is Blood Red. And the music increasingly ominous. http://roadkillrefugee.wordpress.com/2008/09/15/independent-ad-against-m...

Game Changing Speech: "Our sons and daughters are dying for oil."

Obama should give a high profile speech that redefines the accepted understanding of our various wars. He should draw a distinction between the war in Iraq and the "war on terror." The war in Iraq should be painted as a criminal offense by the republican for the purpose of war profiteering and securing oil reserves.

McCain Vs. Bush

A lot of the DNC focused on the 90% voting overlap between Bush and McCain. Perhaps a new ad should focus on where they are different - pointing out that McCain has become more extreme to the right than George Bush. This won't help with evangelicals, but it will definitely help wiht independents.

Ambition First

I've been thinking about the most effective way to undermine John McCain. In my eyes, it would be by recognising his strengths and showcasing his flip-flops. But not in a mocking "in your face" way, but more in a manner reminiscent of someone who somewhat rooted for him and became disillusioned. Here's the ad that might be worth airing across the swing states:
