There should be official, non-biased fact checkers at each of the Presidential and VP debates this fall. The Obama campaign should propose this plan. With all of the lies that have been spread by the GOP advertisements, it would be great to have fact checkers at the actual debates, that could make comments whenever necessary to clear the record.

That article outlines how McCain's new Palin fact-check ad is full of factlessness and misquotations. Yet the ad is going to get McCain a huge news cycle and a big boost. Obama has to fight back somehow. McCain's actions are shameful here, and Obama needs to defend himself on this one.

Read more »Obama's campaign should team up with a fact checking organization, like Fact Check, to have the ads vetted before being released. Then, they could add that to the sound-bite at the end, "Approved by FactCheck.Org". Reinforcing that Obama's ads are factual and not biased will really let people know how much stronger a candidate Obama is.
