Just in case you don't know, the patriot act is an act that allows the government to arrest and detain anybody (yes, anybody) that they suspect of terrorism. This means people can be held for up to nienty days WITHOUT A TRIAL. No evidence is needed, just the vaugest suspicion of terrorism. Detainees are often held at the god-forsaken Guantanamo bay detention center and tortured.
