The funds created from this tax will go directly to health insurance companies for families who can't afford health insurance. But, when did health insurance for a family cost only $5000? As a young woman in Ohio, I feel that democrats are missing an opportunity to highlight their strength concerning social issues with women. Democrats have historically garnered more women voters due to our humanist values concerning social issues. Why haven't we focused on health care for all children?
Read more »I've never understood the argument from people that providing health care to all would cost them too much money. Why can't it be explained this simply: Right now you pay your portion of your health care from your company (in my case, hundreds of dollars a month). You also pay for the care of the poor and the elderly through your taxes. This all comes out of your paycheck.
