Read more »McCain has no plan for Iraq and Obama should call him on it. McCain wants a blank check for Iraq, and has a blank piece of paper for his plans there. He only has criticism of Obama's plan. McCain keeps harping on accountability and wise spending, but when it comes to Iraq that goes out the window and we are just supposed to trust him.
Read more »I heard this again during the VP debate last night. It seems clear that bin Laden would say that Iraq was the central front on terrorism because if you are fighting there, it limits the effort that can be launched in Afganistan and Pakistan where bin Laden is actually hiding.

Read more »Still looking at the first debate, it appears to me that Sen. McCain is invoking Gen. Petraeus and his superhuman successes and wisdom an awful lot. Not wanting to belittle the general's successes as a military leader, I would suggest that next time name comes up, the answer should be: "If he is that good, maybe Gen. Petraeus should be the presidential candidate of the Republican party".
