Seems to me that if McCain and Palin aren't going to be conducting interviews, Barack and Joe should get out there and do as many interviews as possible. Get in front of the cameras. Get their views out there. Talk to the reporters, get on Meet the Press, Larry King, Leno, etc.

We need to fight back and do it in a smart and focused manner. Gov. Palin's speech sounded like a juvenile and petty student council speech. The Obama campaign needs to counter her attacks and show that we will not take it lying down. That was the mistake that we made in 2004.

I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to get singers to sing Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror" throughout the rest of Obama's campaign. The words speak to the heart of Obama's change campaign.

What I am hearing from a lot of centrists who are on the fence is that they loved the Obama they heard a few months ago, when his emphasis was more on people taking personal responsibility for their actions and lives and combining this with the need for government to take more action as well.

Nor can we ignore the sensitivity of this matter. However, there is a fundamentally powerful seed of realistic possibility captured within that moment.
