I think it would be great if when Obama has his 30 minutes of network airtime he uses it to showcase different people and WHY they are voting for him. Use sound bytes of young people talking about education, veterans talking about the support they desperately need, older people talking about medicare, republicans talking about how they're party is no longer, etc.

I believe that we have to have a leader that believes that America is the light on the hill, not the flag at the front of the army. The Constitution, the Bill of Rights, even Jefferson's and Adam's letters to each other at the end of their lives; all of these things were incredibly lofty goals. They stated, in many ways, exactly what Obama is saying now.

Time for Trinity to embrace change as espoused by Obama. A commission of parishioners needs to be established to study efforts to update the "rhetoric of yesterday" with today's "message of hope." Obama should embrace this concept and promote the commission idea among parishioners. To do nothing but continue to reject such incidents is a road to ruin.
