The son of an admiral in the navy is a military elitist. The son and grandson of admirals who have a ship named after both of them is a double whammy military elitist. Since he is misrepresenting everything else lately I took a look at his POW record. Googled (McCain and Songbird, his disrespectful nickname from the Vietnamise) got 48k+ hits. He was shot down Oct 26, 1967. Initially he was denied medical treatment, slapped and threatened with death. 3 or 4 days later he agreed to give military information for medical attention.

Obama needs to be aggressive in the Presidential debates.
1. He needs to call McCain a "liar" and nothing less.
2. He should not try to pretend that they are friends.
3. Keep the debates based on issues and only deal with the facts.
4. Stress the idea that McCain's campaign is run by lobbyists and they will bring "lobbyist-led change" not "citizen-led change."
John McCain has an Answer for Everything: P.O.W.
While Republicans trash the war service of Democratic veterans, Democrats have demonstrated the utmost respect for John McCain's war service and time as a war prisoner.
However, John McCain chooses to make his P.O.W. experience an issue, even though he claims to be reluctant speaking about it. In fact, being a former P.O.W. has become his answer for everything.

I am very proud of the service that McCain has given this country.
I just read on CNN that one of the four things he needs to do is remind people of his five years of being a POW! This angers me. My husband and I both are veterans and my husband fought in the first Gulf War. He was also affected by the sindrome.
