Former executives as advisors

One of the great things about PBS's Convention coverage was hearing from Jimmy Carter, Fritz Mondale, as well as the speeches of Bill Clinton and Ted Kennedy. The President could establish a practice of inviting former Presidents and other retired pols in for coffee... affirming that all the best ideas won't necessarily come from the youngest folks.
