It's readily obvious how in the past few days McCain has been very publicly working in congress while Obama has taken the more subtle route. We need to show that McCain's reckless tactic of suspending his campaign and dancing around Washington may be what a good Senator does, but Obama is showing the characteristics of what a great president does.

When Obama shifts his eyes from the prompters that are usually on either side of him, and looks straight into the camera, even if he isn't making a direct point about the general populace, his words are made exponentially more powerful.

Obama should start a tradition for POTUSes: they work for us, not any party. Every US President should, upon assuming office, immediately resign their party membership as a symbolic gesture. Obama, with his message of unity and post-partisanship, would be the perfect person to start this.
