Never before in my knowledge has a presidential campaign been so outspoken on the problems of society and the solutions to them being responsible parents who emphasize education as the means to solving social issues. The problem is not an "African American" problem but one of many families across the US.

Obama has mentioned personal responsibility, along with compassion and helping each other in the past (memorably in his '04 convention speech).
