As General Colin Powell said, in his endorsement of Senator Obama yesterday, "Taxes are always (by nature) a redistribution of wealth." Therefore by McCain taking money from average people and redistributing more to the rich, he is redistributing the wealth to the rich.

Because taxes are one thing that seem to trump everything else in many voter's minds. McCain is lying about his tax plan because he knows this. But the numbers favor Obama, overwhelmingly on this issue. And yet he hasn't been fully aggressive in getting this out.

1. Close business income tax loopholes while offering cuts to overall corporate tax.
2. Raise minimum wage with a tax cut for participating businesses that employ non-exempt workers (watch out for overtime claims as well). These cuts should be phased out over the course of time. Run appropriate quantitative analysis taking into consideration agreed upon national metrics.

We need to see some simple contrasts between Obama's "yes we can" theme, and McCain's "no we can't" theme.

Modern markets make it easy and lucrative for the wealthy to send their money overseas. International commodities, currency, and stock markets disperse much of the economic benefit of upper-class tax cuts away from domestic markets, especially in an inflationary environment. The solution?
