After the DNC I found Biden to be more appealing than I ever realized. His is salt-of-the-earth, tells it like it is, not a smooth talker, has a tragic family story in his background, etc. That would have had a chance to play out if the Palin version of "folksy" hadn't trumped it in such spectacular, plastic, scripted fashion.

I'd like to urge Joe Biden not to go easy on Sarah Palin during VP debates simply because he doens't want to be perceived as a bully. If she can't handle Biden then how can she handle going up against hostile foreign heads of state.
