We all knew it was just a matter of time for the scumbag GOP 527s brought the Rev. Wright story back around. Well there new attack ad does just that. Of course, McCain will denounce this. Big deal. So did Bush when the swiftboated Kerry. They secretly love these ads (makes opponent looks bad and them look strong for denouncing it). So, we need two things:

Democrats, Independents and liberal Republicans - there comes a time in every campaign when Democrats are called upon to respond to Republican accusations. In the past three elections, they have failed to respond and effectively given us all eight years of George W. Bush. The worst thing they could do now is to replicate this failed and tired "civility" strategy for the fourth time. Enough!

We saw last week at the RNC how easily the Republicans can tell blatant untruths about their records and get away with it. But Obama doesn't need to lie about himself, or his opponent, to get his point across. He doesn't need to be sarcastic or spiteful to point out how much worse the country is after 8 years of Republican governance.

We want to know what will happen to the Patriot Act with the next President. In fear America gave up it's constitutional rights which was fundamentally dangerous. Bush's lack of concern for that danger should have been the brightest red-alert. We must understand the rights we lost and what Obama will restore. Breeding fear must be defined as nothing short of pure manipulation.
