Another Karl Rove Campaign - Another Karl Rove Whitehouse

A CNN poll out on 9/11 shows that 48% of people still think McCain will govern differently than Bush. Show an ad with the entire Bush team that's been called in by the McCain campaign, with Karl Rove leading the charge. "more of the same" McCain

If you want to hit him hard, just say, "more of the same" McCain. His record will support that statement. An added bonus, it's a good catch phrase - that's what the Dems need!

"More of the Same"

Emphasize "more of the same" with clips of Bush campaigning 4 and 8 years ago talking about how he wanted to be a uniter and "reach across the aisle" followed by snippets from McCain's acceptance speech giving the same empty lip service to those ideas (they may have even used exactly the same language at times) and end the ad with something like: "We've already believed the Republicans one too man

Palin - more of the same/Bush the second

Tomorrow, John McCain is likely to try to assert that he is different than the Bush adminsitration. While it is important to keep harping on the point that McCain voted with Bush 90% of the time, i think 2 more things should be brought to the forefront. Judgment vs. Experience

The Obama campaign is trying to focus on the idea that experience does not equal prosperity and that judgment is key. They can highlight this point and continue the theme of "more of the same" by saying that McCain just made his first "presidential" decision, showing what kind of president he will be. He has picked a 20-month governor as his running mate.

keep hammering the "not about the issues" comment

This election is not about issues," said Davis. "This election is about a composite view of what people take away from these candidates."
glad you've caught this, but you need to hit it more. easy to say its not about the issues when the economic/foreign policy issues don't affect you because you are insulated by wealth....

Paint Palin as Cheney with a pretty face!

Show the similarities in position and disposition between Sarah Palin and Dick Cheney. Maverick? I don't think so! She is the same as the current VP who has an even lower approval rating than George Bush.

Focus on McCain and Leave Bush Out of It

McCain should be the focus and NOT Bush. People get sick of cheap tactics to connect McCain to Bush. Republicans already dislike McCain enough that Obama shouldn't need to connect him to Bush to win this election. This should be done because it is the honest-Abe way to run.
