People don't understand the present votes from the Ill legislature. However, they do understand what it means to be absent from the Senate. Get out there and start highlighting McCain's terrible attendance record. He didn't vote on FISA, Medicare or the GI Bill. Ted Kennedy has brain cancer and he made it to the Senate to vote!

The most potentially damaging allegation that Giuliani made in his convention speech is that Obama voted "present" over a hundred times as a State Senator because he couldn't make up his mind. In reality, a vote of "present" means that the Senator does not like the bill as is, but would be open to some sort of compromise.
