Phil Gramm's a senator from Texas has written bills that has created oil speculation which is the cause of the high gas prices. Please inform Americans on his ties to the Enron loophole. I guarantee if you let the citizens know about oil speculation and promise to put an end to it, they will come to your side even more so then now.

Offshore drilling
I hugely support the comprehensive energy plan that Senator Obama presents to us, comparing to a very vague one by Senator McCain. I think the "comprehensive" quality of this energy plan would be even more advanced if Senator Obama includes offshore drilling as well. It is consistent with his ideal that we should be doing all that we can towards our energy independence.

If Thomas Friendman and Charles Krauthammer can agree on energy policy, it is probably a good idea. Set a price floor on gasoline prices, and tax the difference. Offset this tax with rebates to the poor/truckers to make it revenue neutral. It is not about raising money, but about making us energy independant.
