Obama always says that we should focus on being Americans rather than Republicans or Democrats. The best way to show this would be to nominate several Republicans for cabinet positions. A great place to start would be with Gen. David Petraeus as his Secretary of Defense.

Put slightly more focus on military/national security
The military is one of McCain's few strengths; Obama has to work extra hard on that topic to convince the American people that the military is his strong suit too. Name-drop who's currently advising Obama in military matters and throw some big-names around on who you would consider for Cabinet positions related to the military.
