Barack has always maintained the need for our nation to be united, as exemplified in that most memorable of speeches at the 2004 Democratic National Convention: "There is not a liberal America or a conservative America, there is the United States of America!"

Barack Obama and Bill Clinton should appear together and announce that Obama has asked Bill to be Secretary of State, and Bill has agreed. Not only would the announcement create great buzz and strike another blow to the Republican's weak claim that Obama lacks foreign policy experience, but Bill's involvement would fix the last eight years of animosity between the USA and the world instantly.

Colin Powell is one of the most highly respected and trusted public figures in America. Plus having a Republican in such a high profile position would go a long way in bridging the partisan divide, and create the bipartisan cabinet Obama talks about.

If you want to end any factor Palin will have in the election, announce one day after the Republican National convention that Hilary Clinton will be your secretary of state or secretary of defense. No Hilary voter will think twice about voting for McCain if this is done!!!!

All of the qualities that Richardson touted as making him qualified to be president also clearly make him over qualified to be Secretary of State. He was ambassador to the UN. He negotiated for and got hostages from Saddam Hussein and Kim Jong Il.
