If I didn't know better, I would assume that the Obama campaign has no idea how to get strong Obama supporters on television. It's time to assign someone who gets people booked on national and local shows every single day.

Obama needs to send out women (and sometimes men from smaller states and rural areas) as surrogates. Charges of sexism and elitism do not need to distract from the Democrats’ actual arguments.

Examples: Hillary Clinton, Anita Dunn, Claire McCaskill, Brian Schweitzer, Jon Tester

I would like to see a schedule on www.barackobama.com that has a schedule of where his high-profile surrogates are going to be. Casual supporters are much more likely to attend a rally with Bill Clinton or other surrogates if they don't have to dig through a hundred "get out the vote" events in their area to discover that Clinton (or others) will be in their area.

The Obama campaign has been fantastic at creating general public canvasing volunteer networks. They should create organized semi-autonomous groups of issue-related surrogate networks that are made up of experts: A group of physicians that can promote Obama's health care plan, a group of teachers who can promote his education plan, etc.

Per today's Huffington post article, don't just float potential members of the cabinet, go ahead and say "This is my Shadow Secretary of State, this is my Shadow Sec. of Defense, this is my Shadow AG." All those surrogates then take on the Bush lackeys directly, further linking this campaign as one against McCain running for the Bush third term.
