OBama (and Biden if possible) should visit EVERY state at least once before Election Day. This will help drive home the fact that the Democrats are competing in every state - the days of conceding the south to the GOP are over. A Democratic rally in Alaska would certainly generate quite a bit of buzz, as would one in Arizona (whose governor has supported Obama from the beginning).

I think that the economic and political environment is right to push through a major program for mass transit on a federal level with both inter-state plans and matching funds for states. This would better address long-term fuel prices, as well as congestion and the rising cost of flying.
