Use Airtime to Inspire

I think it would be great if when Obama has his 30 minutes of network airtime he uses it to showcase different people and WHY they are voting for him. Use sound bytes of young people talking about education, veterans talking about the support they desperately need, older people talking about medicare, republicans talking about how they're party is no longer, etc.

Unity for America

As the McCain campaign inspires old hate in the country, the Obama campaign inspires new hope.
Let's unite America rather than ignite new divisions.

Run Ads About What Obama Will DO

Stop attacking McCain. It'll only strengthen the idea that you're on a negative path. Run ads about what you will DO for the country. We are looking for ANSWERS. Those will become the reasons we don't vote for McCain. AND those will pass the "100% truth" mark.

Appoint McCain as Secretary of State

Barack has always maintained the need for our nation to be united, as exemplified in that most memorable of speeches at the 2004 Democratic National Convention: "There is not a liberal America or a conservative America, there is the United States of America!"

Stop attack ads

Stop the politicking, focus on the issues. Highlight strengths, not the opponent's weakness. John McCain can blast ignorant, exaggerated, and downright false ads all he wants. If you stand by your issues with sound logic and good intentions, the people will stand right next to you.

The Only Thing We Have to Fear, is Fear Itself...

The conservatives seem to gain support by striking fear in to the hearts and souls of the American people. There is an undeniable flood of scare tactics and general “threats” used to help them win votes. We saw this happen 4 years ago when George Bush managed to gain another 4 years in office by terrifying the very people he is meant to inspire and support.

Core Values

I envision an advertising campaign composed of ads dedicated to 4 core values: Unite and Be Strong, Educate and Progress, Compassion and Action, and Innovate and Change the World. Use historical footage: the ending of the Civil War, Brown vs Board of Education, uniting the U.S. with the railroads, the Berlin Airlift, the ERA marches in DC, vaccine distribution, etc.

Re-emphasize Unity Over Partisan Politics

Barack Obama's 2004 DNC speech perked up the entire nation. It was a simple message that appealed to people across the diverse spectrum of American values and priorities. It seems that Obama's campaign has resorted to negative attacks against the opposition. This reinforces the notion that Obama is not as willing to reach across the aisle to get real work done in Washington as he once said.

Focus more on unity between parties

Obviously one of Senator Obama's most appealing qualities is his judgement, and ability to reach across party lines. He should be more open regarding his approach to this, while obviously keeping true to the democratic principals of his party.
