Speak out against the treatment of the 'Hempstead 15'

I think it would mean a lot to a lot of people if Barack or Michelle would say something publicly about this horrifying incident. Even if the protesters were being verbally provocative, nothing justifies the violent actions of these officers (and against veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan, no less!), or the way the injured were treated while being held at police HQ.

Use Airtime to Inspire

I think it would be great if when Obama has his 30 minutes of network airtime he uses it to showcase different people and WHY they are voting for him. Use sound bytes of young people talking about education, veterans talking about the support they desperately need, older people talking about medicare, republicans talking about how they're party is no longer, etc.

Campaign Ad Idea

I have an idea for a commercial that could appeal to voters who feel that terrorism & Iraq are the top 2 issues that we should be worrying about.

A picture's worth a thousand words

I would love to see a series of ads, each one consisting of photos only (no voice over) and a simple OBAMA/BIDEN speech quote or campaign promise at the end. Specific ideas follow ... read on.

1. Katrina: faces of black and white Americans who were victims of the storm, pictures of New Orleans 3 years later, pictures of politicians who swore to fix the situation, of FEMA trailers, etc.

McCain Does NOT CARE about Our Troops and Veterans

McCain doesn't mind calling for an escalation and putting our troops, our brave young men and women, in harm’s way, but he doesn't have the decency to care about them when they return home wounded and affected by the war. As a Vietnam Vet he should understand. But he does NOT CARE!

Reel in the Veterans

A large majority of McCain supporters may disagree with his policies but feel obliged to him due to his military service.

An advertisement making use of the patriotic emotions invoked by the sight of a veteran saluting the flag, perhaps with flashbacks of military service, will immediately gain the attention of these supporters.

Ordinary People Crafting Extraordinary Policies

One thing I love about the Obama campaign is the process of inclusion. People from all walks of life are joining in to take part in something bigger than politics. In my scoop on "Leverage Obama's Brain Trust" I alluded to the usage of Policy Advisors to add weight and substance to the policy that has been generated by this campaign.

John McCain Doesn't Support Veterans

John McCain has only about a 30% approval rating by the Disabled Veterans of America. He has voted against measures to help veterans 10 times since 9/11 including the GI bill. John McCain doesn't support the military and Obama needs to make this known!

The new G.I. bill isn't enough...

As a soon-to-be member of the armed services (Navy Delayed Entry Program) I would like to start off by saying that the new G.I. bill is long overdue, but much appreciated by everyone I know in the armed services.
