The historic ballpark has been the site of 85 years of great historical events. I think that the acceptance speech of the first African American President on November 4th would be a great way to close the House that Ruth built.

Victory for America is taking the 10 Billion dollars a month we're bleeding into Iraq
and bringing that money home.

Since the McCain campaign has spun the surge in Iraq as a success even though the political objectives weren't reached, we need a simple response to that assertion. The Obama campaign should respond when asked whether the surge has been successful, "I would say the surge was successful when the troops are home!" Leave it at that, cue the big applause from the audience.

and you're being broadcast live on CNN, MSNBC, and the entire country is watching, don't take the first 45 seconds to thank the organizers of the event. I think a much more powerful, stronger opening address could be more helpful rather than reading a few random names off of a notecard and then getting to the actual speech.
