McCain/Bush Speeches Overlapping

There was a great feature on last night's Daily Show (http://www.hulu.com/watch/33504/the-daily-show-with-jon-stewart-fri-sep-...) around the 7 minute mark that shows Bush and McCain's speeches from the Conventions - over lapped - where they say almost the exact same thing.

The world is watching

I think many Americans living abroad like myself are feeling isolated from the process by distance. Give us something to do. Lets create a concerted video/youtube campaign to highlight the massive respect Obama already has around the world. Every person on earth will be indirectly affected by this vote - let them be seen by the American public.

Voices for Obama

So, as evidenced by this website, Obama has a HUGE grassroots campaign going. Why not use that in advertisements for the president? Sure theres some ideas about small videos, but this one kicks it up a notch.

Focus on McCain's lack of judgment in all areas

Make "Lack of Judgment" the key attack point against McCain. Start with the nomination of Palin and pound into the heads of the American public the flaws in her policies, her experience as Governor of a state with less people that San Jose, and the fact that McCain only met with her once before choosing her as his running mate for the second highest office in the land.

Use videos of McCain / Palin's prior statements in campaign ads.

Suggested to Howard Dean by Jon Stewart on the Daily Show. Their actual statements in unedited format could paint the most chilling image of what their administration could do to this country.

Ad With McCain Stating Americans Won't Work for $50 an Hour

There is Youtube video of John McCain addressing union workers. In defense of having immigrant workers, he states that there are jobs Americans won't do, and he then offers anyone in the audience $50 an hour to pick lettuce, adding that none of them would do it. If Obama puts this sound or video clip in an ad, Americans will really see how out of touch he is. $50 an hour is $100,000 a year.

Make a video with Ron Paul

I think a lot of Ron Paul supporters are on the fence about Obama. Let's make sure they vote for Obama by emphasizing similarities (e.g., ending the war) and maybe having Obama agree to take up some of Paul's issues. If he clarifies his position on some things and/or emphasizes his commitment on others, I think he could pick up a lot of support.

Give a Ross Perot/Al Gore multimedia style presentation

Ross Perot electrified the country in the '92 election with his low-tech but illuminating and powerful posterboard presentations about the deficit. Al Gore proved the power of Powerpoint. Obama should do the same, producing a 15-30 minute infomercial using charts, pictures, graphs, and video -- esp. video of McCain and his constant flip flops.
