I don't know if many people know, but if you are not registered to vote by the 6th of OCT. you are SOL come Election day. Run an ad in critical states encouraging people to make sure they are all registered by that day

Register, register, register

We've reached the final stage of this election - the best way to ensure Senator Obama's victory now is to *make sure people vote*. At this point, that means getting as many Obama supporters registered as possible.

Ask Teachers & Professors to Hand out Voter Registration Cards

We could appeal to all high school teachers and professors who are Obama supporters and ask them to hand out voter registration cards in their classrooms. The teachers/professors should not make any partisan comments when handing out the cards--just offer it as a convenience to the students. I know a professor who does this every election, and the students are very appreciative.

Change the Game

Voter apathy has always been a tremendous obstacle for election hopefuls. Campaign Surrogates

Walmart's are the PERFECT place to do this-- there is a steady flow of traffic, lots of it is low income and/or low education, and they're coming out frustrated with how much money they just spent.

Nat'l tour as tie-in to other Dem campaigns great Obama tool

Announce challenging but realistic voter registration goals

It is great that the campaign has shown a serious commitment to voter registration. It is the first time I have seen a campaign that has recognized that one of the reasons democrats lose is that more than half of our potential voters don't show up on election day.
